Dennis Pozniak Receives New Trial for Double Homicide

After Dennis Pozniak was served a 60 year prison term without parole for murdering both Nicole and Bryan Wilson, a state appeals court has ordered a new trial for Pozniak. The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office "will carefully review the opinion and decide how to proceed," said spokesman Joel Bewley.

Pozniak was convicted for fatally beating his girlfriend and her father in Mount Holly. On Monday, it was ruled that the seven week long trial was flawed because Superior Court Judge Jeanne Covert "did not allow the jury to consider lesser offenses of aggravated manslaughter and manslaughter." Our partner attorney, Timothy Farrow of Moorestown, told reporters he was "very happy" with the updated ruling. "I look forward to the matter being remanded so that justice can be served," he said.
